About Sean Macko PT, DPT

Sean Macko, Doctorate of Physical Therapy, is a physical therapist specializing in orthopedic medicine in the outpatient setting. His experience spans the treatment and rehabilitation of numerous musculoskeletal conditions. These include injuries of the upper and lower extremities, back and neck pain and sports injuries, as well as post-operative recoveries. In addition, Macko is certified in therapeutic dry needling for treatment of various conditions and pain.

He chose physical therapy as a career after suffering and recovering from baseball and basketball injuries throughout his life. He remains connected to high school athletics, providing care for players on teams in the Marietta and East Cobb area. He also has taught and mentored other physical therapists and students, while conducting research on injured baseball players returning to the sport.

Macko has led numerous mentoring classes on topics ranging from evaluation and rehabilitation of injuries to recovery from concussions to post-operative procedures. In his spare time, he also enjoys watching live music, hiking in North Georgia, cooking and taking his dog, Jack, to the park.
